New Digital Signs Enhance Visitor Experience at Universal Orlando Resort

"Digital Signs Universal Orlando Enhance Visitor Experience"

New Digital Signs Unveiled at Universal Orlando Resort

Orlando, Florida – Universal Orlando Resort continues to enhance its visibility and visitor experience with the unveiling of two new digital signs. With the addition of digital screens at several key locations, the resort aims to create a unified and modern look.

What’s New?

The most recent updates include the installation of two major signs along with new screens added to an existing sign near the upcoming Epic Universe. The first sign to be revealed is located at the intersection of Epic Blvd and Destination Pkwy. Although the frames fanning out from the blue center of the sign have been completed, the digital screens have yet to be activated.

Another significant sign has been installed at Universal Boulevard and Hollywood Way. Previously covered with scrim, this sign now stands complete without any visible construction work, aside from a surrounding fence. Like the first sign, it features screens embedded in its structure.

A third sign, situated at Universal Boulevard and Vineland Road, has also had its scrim removed, but a chain-link fence remains around the area. This sign, too, appears to have the screens installed, prepared for future activation.

Significant Changes

The new signs are designed to replace the old structures, bringing about a fresh look for the resort. The modernized signs maintain a similar overarching design but introduce a new font and replace the old silver paneling with digital screens. Importantly, all previous signs have been removed, marking a complete transition to the new style.

What Will the Signs Feature?

Once activated, the digital screens will showcase a variety of videos and information, highlighting popular intellectual properties (IPs) such as “Jurassic Park,” “Shrek,” “Harry Potter,” “Trolls,” and “Kung Fu Panda.” This new display aligns with the branding changes Universal announced earlier in March 2023.

Reason for the Update

The recent revamp of the signage is part of Universal’s broader strategy to simplify and unify its branding. As part of this initiative, the resort has dropped the apostrophe and letter ‘s’ from several property names. For example, Universal’s Islands of Adventure has been officially renamed to Universal Islands of Adventure. This strategy aims to create a more cohesive marketing approach across all their parks.

Public Reaction

As the changes take place, visitors are encouraged to share their thoughts on the new signage and overall look of the park. Universal is keen on receiving feedback via social media platforms.

Conclusion

With these enhancements, Universal Orlando Resort not only updates its visual identity but also strengthens its connection with visitors through the digital realm. As the resort continues to grow and evolve, these new signs are a step towards a brighter and more engaging future for guests. Visitors eagerly await the activation of these digital screens to see how they will enhance their experience at the resort.
