Dog Day at Leu Gardens

Mark your calendars for January 25, 2025, for a day dedicated to our four-legged buddies at Dog Day at Leu Gardens! Bring your pups to the beautiful Harry P. Leu Gardens from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each pooch will receive a goodie bag that includes a stylish bandana while supplies last. But that’s not all! There are contests galore, featuring categories like best-dressed dog, owner look-alike, and the highly anticipated best kisser.

For shoppers, the Doggie Boutique will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, offering a selection of adorable apparel, tasty treats, and fun toys for your furry companions. Please remember, for the safety of everyone, to keep your dogs on a leash and pick up after them. Admission is priced at $15 for adults, $10 for children, and only $5 for each dog—free for kids under 4, active military members, and those with Leu Gardens membership.

Yoga in the Gardens

For those seeking peace of mind, join a calming Yoga in the Gardens session on January 26, February 8, and February 15 from 10 to 11 a.m. Registration includes garden admission, with costs being $17 for members and $22 for nonmembers. Embrace the tranquility of nature as you stretch and meditate.

Job Fair Extravaganza

Job seekers, rejoice! On January 29, there will be a Mayor’s Job Fair featuring over 100 employers. Head to the Central Florida Fair Expo Park from 12 to 4 p.m. for a chance to connect with potential employers. And guess what? Admission is free!

Community Events Galore

Looking to get involved? Join the “Out of the Darkness” community walk at Baldwin Park on February 1, where registration begins at 1 p.m. and the walk kicks off at 2 p.m. Also, that day, participate in a walk hosted by the Mid-Florida Milers Walking Club from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.

If you have a green thumb—or want to develop one—don’t miss the How to Grow Spring Cut Flowers workshop at Leu Gardens from 10 a.m. to noon on February 1. There’s even a Coin Show on February 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., where you can enter for free.
