The tournament has a rich history of champions, counting Ryder Cup legends like Sandy Lyle and Luke Donald among its previous winners, alongside notable amateurs such as Peter McEvoy and Gary Wolstenholme. Last year’s titleholder, Charlie Daughtrey, highlighted the challenging nature of the course, while James Claridge made waves by recording the only winning score of three successive rounds in the 60s, finishing at an impressive -11 in April 2023.
