Mark your calendars for the Cheers to Change 2025 Charity Gala happening on April 4 from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Orlando Science Center. For just $150, you can experience an exhilarating Indiana Jones-inspired adventure. Expect a night filled with live entertainment, spirited dancing, and gourmet cuisine paired with refreshing beverages. This gala aims to raise vital funds that support services for survivors of trauma, violence, and abuse. It’s a night for a great cause, and it’s sure to be a memory-maker!
The fun continues with the 36th Annual Spring Fiesta in the Park, taking place on April 5-6 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Lake Eola Park. This fantastic event is completely free to attend and features over 200 talented artists and crafters displaying their incredible work. Additionally, you’ll find a variety of vendors and live entertainment that’s perfect for the whole family. There’s even a children’s play area! Bring your loved ones and soak up the sunshine as you enjoy this community celebration.
If you’re looking to expand your knowledge while connecting with nature, head over to Harry P. Leu Gardens on April 5 for two engaging workshops. At 10:30 AM, the Florida Vegetable Gardening Workshop will teach you how to nurture your green thumb, with a fee of $22.50 for garden members and $25 for nonmembers. Then, don’t miss the calming Lakeside Yoga session from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This caters to all skill levels and costs $17 for members, $22 for nonmembers. On April 8 at 2:00 PM, enjoy a classic matinee movie showing of “The Power and the Prize” at Winter Park. Plus, Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center offers multiple support events and educational sessions throughout April—aimed to help those who need it the most.
Pencil in April 11 for the Watercolor for Seniors workshop at 4:00 PM at the Alafaya branch, a fabulous chance for seniors to express their artistic side.
