Orlando Welcomes a Bold New Dining Concept: KFC’s “Saucy”
Orlando, Florida, is set to undergo a culinary transformation with the unveiling of Saucy, KFC’s innovative dining concept, on December 20, 2024. This exciting venture will be located off of Alafaya Drive, near Curry Ford, marking the first of its kind nationwide.
What is Saucy?
Described as a “flavor-forward dining destination”, Saucy will focus on serving delicious chicken tenders, complemented by a variety of 11 unique sauces, reminiscent of KFC’s famous Original Recipe that features a blend of 11 herbs and spices. Among the sauces available will be distinct flavors such as Chimichurri Ranch, Peri Peri Ranch, and Spicy Mango Chutney.
The Vision Behind Saucy
Christophe Poirier, KFC’s chief new concept officer, expressed excitement about the growing trend of sauce-centric dining, suggesting that “more is more” when it comes to enhancing flavors. The concept aims to capitalize on the rising popularity of chicken tenders, categories that have seen successful growth through competitors like Raising Cane’s.
Menu Offerings
At Saucy, guests will have the opportunity to customize their meals by choosing sauces either individually or in flights. The chicken tenders will be prepared fresh in small batches, prioritizing quality and taste. The menu also includes items beyond tenders, such as the EZ Crispy Sandwich and Spicy Queso Crunch Sandwich, with combo meals starting at just $7.99 for three tenders accompanied by sides.
A Unique Dining Experience
Saucy will diverge from traditional KFC aesthetics with a playful pink color scheme and modern dining features such as digital ordering kiosks and live entertainment. On Fridays, the establishment will host “Saucy Soirées”, designed to create a lively atmosphere and encourage social interaction among patrons.
