Prize Fund Hits New Heights

But wait – there’s more! The total prize fund has hit an astounding $131 million, making it the largest in the history of the LPGA in its 75-year history. This amazing figure marks an incredible increase of nearly 90% from what we saw just four years ago. Talk about a game-changer! With the money flowing, golfers will be more motivated than ever to bring their A-game to the turf.

A Slight Schedule Shift

Golf aficionados will notice that the tour starts a little later this year, kicking off two weeks later than in 2024. The season will officially tee off with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, running from January 30 to February 2. Following that, the players will showcase their talents at the Founders Cup and the Honda LPGA Thailand. It’s an event schedule that’s sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats!

Exciting Tournaments to Look Forward To

After the Thailand event, golfers will head to Singapore for the prestigious HSBC Women’s World Championship, followed by the Blue Bay LPGA in China. Golf in Phoenix will get its moment in the spotlight with the Ford Championship, and then Las Vegas will host the thrilling T-Mobile Match Play.

Among the new highlights is the inaugural Black Desert Championship set to take place in May, adding to a vibrant summer of golf. Also, don’t miss out on the Riviera Maya Open as the tour makes its triumphant return to Mexico for the first time since 2017!

More Big News: Elevated Purses!

In addition to the exciting tournaments, at least nine events will feature elevated purses. Golfers can look forward to a showdown at the U.S. Women’s Open, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and the AMUNDI Evian Championship in the tranquil settings of France. Some Ups and Downs

While the excitement is palpable, there has been a hiccup as well. The Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, originally scheduled for March, has been cancelled due to financial reasons but there’s hope on the horizon for a potential reschedule later in the season. Fingers crossed!
