This week-long festival offers a chance to explore more than 50 local beer businesses and discover new flavors while celebrating the rich brewing culture in Orlando.
Orlando is in the midst of something special, folks! The city is coming alive with its vibrant craft brewery culture through an exciting new initiative called the ALE-Liance program. This community-driven celebration is part of the much-anticipated Orlando Beer Week, where local businesses and residents alike are raising a glass to the flourishing world of craft beer.
Mark your calendars because Orlando Beer Week is going to run from January 24 to February 1! This festivity spans a glorious nine days, showcasing over 50 local beer-based businesses nestled within Orlando’s Main Street neighborhoods. Talk about an event that brings people together to enjoy delicious brews and discover new local gems!
Want to know when all the excitement begins? The official kick-off event is scheduled for January 24 at A La Cart in the SoDo district. If you’re a fan of locally sourced flavors, you’re in for a treat! This event will feature a fantastic lineup of Orlando-sourced drafts from local brewers. It’s the perfect way to start off a week filled with hops, barley, and all things beer!
The ALE-Liance program isn’t just about sipping refreshing beers; it’s also about advocating for the local breweries that greatly contribute to our community and culinary landscape. By promoting Orlando’s beer culture, this initiative highlights the impact that breweries have on their surrounding neighborhoods and how they foster a sense of connection among residents.
Let’s not forget the importance of community. The executive director of The Milk District pointed out how these brewery spaces serve as hubs for gathering and forming connections. A visit to your local brewery is more than just tasting beers; it’s a chance to bond with friends and meet new people who share a passion for local flavors.
Excitingly, the ALE-Liance program has garnered participation from eight out of the twelve Orlando Main Street Districts! This means that areas like Audubon Park, City District Orlando, Curry Ford West, Ivanhoe Village, Mills 50, The Milk District, SoDo District, and Thornton Park District will all be in on the action. No matter where you are in Orlando, there’s bound to be an exciting event or special beer waiting just around the corner!
