In the opening game of the event, the Duncanville Panthers took on the Blake Yellow Jackets. Right from the tip-off, Duncanville made it clear that they were there to win, jumping to a quick 9-0 lead. The Panthers, led by TCU commit Kayden Edwards, scored a dominant 79-65 victory over the Yellow Jackets. Edwards, showing off his incredible skills, scored the first seven points of the game and ended up leading his team with an astonishing 30 points and 10 rebounds. By the end of the first quarter, Duncanville had already established a 19-6 lead.

As the game progressed, the Panthers continued to shine, extending their halftime lead to an impressive 40-19. The Blake Yellow Jackets, however, did not go down without a fight. Kayden Edwards showcased his aptitude for scoring, dropping an incredible 45 points during the game. Not far behind, teammate Deuce Hunt added 23 points to help secure the thrilling win. Jamier Jones of Oak Ridge also lit up the scoreboard with 41 points despite the loss, making the game a memorable event for all involved.

As it stands, Duncanville boasts a record of 9-3 this season, while Oak Ridge stands at 7-5.
