Surrounded by his loving family in Naples, Florida, Ron fought valiantly against cancer, demonstrating the same tenacity that marked his life.

Humble Beginnings

Born on June 15, 1947, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Ron was raised by his parents, Lauretta and Robert Kay. From a young age, the vibrant spirit of competition ignited within him. Graduating from Dracut High School in 1965, Ron displayed athletic prowess and determination, making a name for himself in track and field. He not only excelled in sports but also set impressive records, notably achieving the fastest mile at Dracut High School with an astonishing time of 4:09.

He graduated with a BS in Business Degree, combining his competitive nature with a solid academic foundation.

A Flourishing Career

After college, Ron began his career at Sanders Associates. His knack for numbers and leadership eventually led him to Honeywell in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he left a significant imprint. In 1972, he met the love of his life, Karen, and their bond blossomed into a remarkable 46-year marriage.

In search of new opportunities, the couple moved to Orlando, Florida, where Ron thrived as Controller at Martin Marietta at Orlando Aerospace. A Community Advocate

Beyond his business endeavors, Ron was a pillar in his community, showing dedication and leadership at every turn. Serving as president of the Inverness Golf Club in Illinois from 2003 to 2004, he brought people together through his love of golf. Additionally, his advisory role at The Classics Country Club and presidentship of his HOA in the Majors neighborhood of Lely speak volumes about his commitment to fostering strong community ties.
