Sarasota Real Estate Market Boosted by Keyes Company’s New Partnership

Sarasota Welcomes New Real Estate Partnership

Sarasota, Florida – A significant development in the local real estate scene has emerged with the Keyes Company‘s expansion into the Sarasota market. The Miami-based brokerage is now officially open for business at its first Sarasota office located at 1433 Main Street. This move comes with the strategic affiliation of two reputable local firms: Signature Premier Properties Sarasota and Florida SunCoast Real Estate.

Who is Involved?

The new partnership brings together the experienced teams from Signature Premier Properties, which is an affiliate of New York’s renowned Signature Premier Properties, co-owned by Peter Morris and Kathleen Viard. The Sarasota office houses a talented group of 60 agents, including several individuals who migrated from New York. They possess valuable connections that are expected to benefit local clients.

Kathy Curd has been appointed as the sales manager for the Keyes Sarasota office, where she will oversee day-to-day operations and work closely with the agents.

What Does This Mean for the Community?

According to Christina Pappas, the President of Keyes Company, this expansion is a chance to offer “hands-on service.” She emphasizes that the new firms share a commitment to fostering connections and community engagement, which are critical values in real estate. The Sarasota area has seen a surge in demand for housing, partly driven by relocation activity from New York, a trend that gained momentum during the pandemic.

Why the Move to Sarasota?

The choice to enter the Sarasota market stems from its ongoing growth and the rising demand for homes. Viard stated that Keyes Company provides an ideal partnership to leverage their existing momentum and resources. “The Sarasota market continues to see the New York relocation activity that started during the pandemic,” she noted. “Our New York roots and relationships help our agents produce optimal results for their clients.”

Florida SunCoast Real Estate’s Role

Florida SunCoast Real Estate, co-owned by Barry and Sherry Grooms, is also an integral part of this new venture. With over 50 years of combined experience in the industry, the Grooms bring a wealth of knowledge to the Keyes Company. Barry Grooms, a past President of Florida Realtors®, will take on the role of Southwest Florida regional manager and will be responsible for identifying future merger opportunities for Keyes.

Looking Ahead

This collaboration marks the start of a new chapter for Keyes Company in Sarasota and demonstrates the growing importance of the area in Florida’s real estate market. Grooms expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “Like Keyes, we are a family-owned brokerage that puts people first.” He highlighted the attraction to Keyes’ longstanding reputation and their commitment to nurturing community engagement.

Keyes Company is currently in active negotiations with other firms in Southwest Florida, looking to further enhance its footprint in the region.

Conclusion

The combined forces of Keyes Company, Signature Premier Properties Sarasota, and Florida SunCoast Real Estate aim to set a new standard in real estate services in Sarasota. With a local focus and extensive industry expertise, this partnership is poised to make a significant impact in the local market.
