UCF Softball team in action during a game.
UCF Softball has announced changes to their schedule for the Okana Invitational due to anticipated inclement weather. The Knights will now play St. Thomas at 4 p.m. CT on Friday, followed by their highly anticipated matchup against the second-ranked Oklahoma Sooners at 7 p.m. CT, which will be streamed live. Fans are encouraged to follow UCF Athletics for updates and can download the UCF Knights app for personalized news. Oklahoma also adjusted their schedule, impacting their game times during the invitational.
Greetings from Orlando! It’s shaping up to be an exciting weekend for UCF Softball, but as is often the case with spring weather, Mother Nature has thrown a little curveball. Due to anticipated inclement weather, the Knights have made some adjustments to their schedule for the Okana Invitational taking place in beautiful Norman.
Originally, the Knights were all set to take on the second-ranked Oklahoma Sooners on Friday, April 4. However, the schedule has been shuffled! Now, the Knights will kick off their weekend against St. Thomas at 4 p.m. CT on Friday. Mark your calendars for a great game as UCF looks to start the invitational with a bang.
And don’t worry, those highly anticipated matchups against the Sooners won’t be going anywhere. UCF will still face off against Oklahoma at 7 p.m. CT on Friday evening. So, whether you’re rooting for the Knights or the Sooners, there’s plenty of action to look forward to!
Now, for all the fans hoping to catch the game, there’s a little snag. The matchup against St. Thomas will not be live-streamed or televised. So, if you’re looking to watch that one from home, you might want to grab a buddy and hit up a local sports bar instead!
However, the showdown between UCF and Oklahoma on Saturday, April 5, at 12:30 p.m. CT will still take place as planned and will be streamed live on SECN+. Make sure to grab your snacks and get comfortable for this big game!

As a heads up for Oklahoma fans, they also announced changes to their schedule for the Okana Invitational due to the same weather concerns. Oklahoma’s game against St. Thomas has been moved up to Thursday, April 3, at 7 p.m., which impacts the original timing of this game slated for Friday.
While this shuffle has made for some confusion, don’t fret! Oklahoma’s games against UCF are set to proceed as scheduled, which is a relief for everyone eagerly awaiting those face-offs.
For those fans who had tickets for the previously scheduled game against St. Thomas, UCF Athletics has provided instructions for how to handle the changes. It’s always great to have solid communication, especially when weather throws our plans out of whack.
So, pack your raincoats and get ready for a fantastic weekend of softball action! Whether you’re cheering on the Knights in person or keeping track online, there’s plenty to look forward to as the UCF Softball team takes the field.
