Winter Park’s Luxury Real Estate Market Soars as Another Million-Dollar Deal Goes Down

In the vibrant city of Winter Park, the luxury real estate scene is thriving, like a beautifully manicured garden in full bloom! Just recently, a stunning lakefront mansion graced the market with a jaw-dropping sale price of $9.14 million. This sumptuous property, located at 2040 Venetian Way, now has a new owner in the form of Matthew Steinberg. The deal was finalized on January 15, 2024, according to the records from the ever-keen Orange County officials.

The home was shown off by none other than the dedicated real estate agent Thomas Bonner of Coldwell Banker Realty, who undoubtedly put in the hard work to make this transaction smooth as silk. The former owners, Michelle and Shane McGuinness, seem to have handed over a little piece of paradise to the new buyer without any direct comments from either side.

More Million-Dollar Sales for the Luxurious Venue

But that’s not all that the prestigious Winter Park has to offer! On the same day as the big Venetian Way deal, three other properties in the area sold, raking in a phenomenal total of $30.95 million. Can you believe it? The real estate plot thickens!

For instance, another majestic property located at 1461 Via Tuscany found a new owner for a whopping $9.25 million. This estate had a star-studded past, previously owned by notable figures such as Indiana Supreme Court Judge Leonard J. Hackney and the Showalter family. Most recently, it became the abode of the late Harvey Massey, founder of Massey Services, Inc., and his wife, Carol, in 2004. The final paperwork for this stunning residence was sealed on March 29, 2024.

Another fabulous property dubbed Casa del Mondo at 1220 N. Park Ave, sold off-market for an impressive $12 million on the very same day. This sprawling estate boasts a whopping 16,608 square feet of living space, nestled across a luscious four acres by the scenic Lake Maitland. Once owned by the iconic Edyth and Archibald Bush, this property was originally listed at $15.9 million before being upped to $17.4 million just last March. What a wealthy tale!

Last but not least, the third property, located at 4 Isle of Sicily, found a happy owner for $9.7 million after a lengthy market presence of 327 days. Initial listings for this scenic spot were just shy of $11 million, and it’s clear that persistence pays off in this sparkling market.

The Bigger Picture of Orlando Area Real Estate

So, what’s happening with the broader Orlando area real estate? A recent report shared that the median home sale price across the U.S. for March was $376,223, a growth spurt of 4.7% from the previous year. The Orlando area isn’t lagging behind either, with a median sale price hitting $377,000 in February, marking a year-over-year leap of 5.3%.

Winter Park itself is buzzing with excitement, showcasing a median single-family home price of $997,500 for the last quarter of 2023 within area code 32789. Meanwhile, condos and townhomes in that area averaged $779,900. The neighboring area 32792 chimed in with a median single-family home price of $515,000.

A Bright Path for Buyers and Sellers

As for local experts, there’s a sense of optimism for both buyers and sellers riding the waves of this luxurious journey. The rising inventory levels, marked by a 54.6% increase year-over-year in February, coupled with a 4.5% jump since January 2024, suggest more exciting times ahead for Winter Park’s real estate aficionados.

With all these dazzling stats and luxury properties changing hands, it’s safe to say that Winter Park is indeed the place to be for those who appreciate the finer things in life!
